Frequently Asked Questions

-
-
Do I need any software to be able to use these skins?
No, you don't need any
special software to use these skins, everything you need to produce
perfectly skinned videos is packaged in this product. All you need
is an HTML editor such as Dreamweaver, FrontPage, NVU. There are
many HTML editors available for free on the web.

-
-
Do I need
to have Photoshop to be able to use these skins?
No, all the VSkinz.net
video skins are supplied already designed and pre-sliced in HTML
pages, basically you select the skin you require from the
gallery
and then choose the corresponding skin folder. Open up the HTML for
that skin and paste in your video code, it's as simple as that.

-
-
Can I resize the skins for different videos?
Unfortunately the skins
can only be used for specific video sizes. After extensive research
we have selected 2 of the most common video sizes. These are YouTube
default size 425 x 355 and 320 x 240. Over time we will be adding
further video size skin options to this package, of course these
will be made available free of charge to all VSkinz.net purchasers.

-
-
Can your
video skins be used on Wordpress blogs?
Simple answer yes, the
pre-sliced skins can simply be copied and pasted from your HTML
pages into your wordpress post. But as there are many different ways
to code the blog designs some themes deal with images differently.
Please find links to 2
blogs (using free themes) that have VSkinz.net video skins on them,
further details can be found on the blogs.
We will be putting
together a tutorial of certain free wordpress themes and how they
deal with the images added to them, this will be available for free
download over the next week.
A great place to
download free wordpress themes can be found at

Is it
possible to insert Camtasia videos in these skins?
Yes, if you create your
Camtasia so that the size is either 425 x 355 and 320 x 240 (this
would have to include the controls) you would then be able to output
the camtasia video to appear inside the skin.

-
-
Do you offer support if I get stuck?
Due to how easy we have
made this product and the tutorials supplied I am confident you
wouldn't need any further support. But not a problem, throughout our
product and downloads (including at the bottom of this page) you are
supplied with a link to our online support desk, we have a
category specifically for VSkinz.net users and we answer the support
questions usually within 12 hours.

-
-
Will you be bringing out any additional skins in the future?
We have spent many
months creating this product so this is not a product we will set up
and forget about. We will be creating further skins which will be
either additional packages or a monthly membership (of course all
VSkinz.net purchases will receive massively discounted prices for
all our future associated products)

-
-
Can I easily change the colors of the skins?
As I'm sure your aware
we have created 10 skin designs each one with between 8 to 14 so I'm
confident that in the VSkinz package you will be able to select a
skin that matches your site. Although we feel that we have created
almost all options we do have a one time offer you will get after
purchase, this offer includes over 230 PSD's of the skin designs,
which for experienced photoshop users would be simple to amend any
colour you desire.

-
-
Is it possible to add my web address to the video skins?
Due to the way we have
created the VSkinz package we had to make the skins as generic as
possible, we have therefore used call to actions to watch the video,
but have not added your domain name, as many users would not want
this. As above if you purchase the excellent one time offer after
the initial purpose the PSD's could easily be edited to include your
web address.

-
I pasted my video code like the demo but the video is too
big for the skin. What did I do wrong?
If you have used a
YouTube video (425 x 355) and it is too big for the skin you have
selected, I would suggest that you are trying to paste the video
into 320x 240 pre-sliced templates. Simply close down the template
you have opened (remembering not to save) and open up the YouTube
labelled folder, you should then be able to paste the code straight
into the skin without any problems.

-
How can I put this video from the html page into an existing
web page on my site?
Once you insert a video
into your HTML page you can easily copy the HTML code from the page
and paste it into your page or website. The easiest way to do this
would be to copy the code from the page between the <table
and </table>

-
-
Can I use these skins to customise videos for my clients?
I don't see any reason
why you can't, but I would appreciate it if you could use the
support desk with any questions you have regarding using VSkinz
skins for your clients. Don't forget if you purchase the one time
offer you will also receive the PSD's so you will be able to further
customize the skins to fit your clients needs.
